The insurer wrote it as a cover, a clip kit and a blend. On teardown the reinforcement bar was bowed and the left rail had moved eight millimetres. We photographed the measurements, sent the printout in with the supplement, and the claim was reopened for the structural work it needed. The owner paid the same deductible either way.
A spring storm put dents across the roof, hood and both quarters. Every panel was steel with the factory finish intact, so the whole car went to paintless work rather than the booth. Four days, original paint kept, and the only panel we refinished was a hood edge where a stone had already broken through.
Pearl white is three coats — a ground, a pearl mid-coat, and clear — and the pearl reads differently depending on how much of it went on. We sprayed two test cards, checked both in daylight rather than under the booth lights, and blended into the adjacent door instead of stopping at the seam. Nobody has found the join.
The owner had been told by two shops that the car was fine because it tracked straight down the road. On the rack it measured eleven millimetres short on one side — enough that the suspension geometry was being corrected by the alignment rather than by the structure. We pulled it back to spec, then aligned it. The tyre wear stopped.
A replaced windscreen with a clean dashboard and no fault codes at all. The forward camera behind it had never been recalibrated, so lane keeping was reading the road from a few degrees off. There is no warning light for that. We calibrated it against the target board, printed the before and after, and put the report in the file with the repair.
A parking-garage post had cracked the cover through one mounting tab and scuffed it along the corner. A new cover was quoted elsewhere at four figures with the sensors moved across. The plastic was sound everywhere else, so we welded the tab from behind, refinished the corner, and blended into the quarter. It cost about a third.
